This workshop aims at giving the attendee a detailed overview of rich client technologies' state of the art.
It will outline the major differences between the rich client approach and the thin and heavy ones, and the attendee will be presented the strentghs and weaknesses of the following technologies:

• GWT
• Ajax
• Eclipse RCP/RAP
• Adobe Flex
• Silverlight
• JavaFX

A comparative study will be performed on criteria such as: complexity, modularity, ability to deal with disconnected mode, community support, ... and a basic tutorial will focus on the implementation of the same application using different RDA/RIA frameworks.

Prerequisites: This workshop targets not necessarily technical people, who need to have a good vision of the current state of rich client technologies, and a detailed presentation of the key features of each framework available on the market.
